Activities of the Sangh
 ACTIVITIES   |  AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The Sangh constructed a seven storeyed building at 41, Ezra Street in the year 19xx. One full floor is reserved for the Bhojanalaya and two for Wadi (a house for marriages and other functions).

The Sangh constructed five wings of 20 flats each in Liluah and provided the same to people of lower income groups at subsidized rates.

The Sangh has a youth wing, the Jain Yuwas Samiti, and two women's wings under the banners Lalit Mahila Mandal and Jai Pran Mahila Mandal. They all render yeoman services to the Sangh.

The Sangh arranges for one or more community feasts, Sangh Jaman, every year.

Vardhaman Ayambil (throughout the year) and Ayambil Oli (nine days each in the months of Chaitra and Aso) are arranged in the Sangh in the Ayambil Hall.

Kayami Jaap & Casual Jaap are orgasnised by the Sangh.

The Sangh runs Jain Shala for boys and girls and impart religious education through the summer vacation period and on Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of the year.

Prarthana (prayer) are held in the mornings throughout the year. Prabhavana is given.

 

Ghee, oil and some other items are given to the needy families at 50%-subsidized rates.

Vaidkiya Rahat (medical relief) provided for needy families.

The Sangh's Critical Illness Scheme offers spot help to needy people as per pre-decided norms.

Further Medical Relief and Medical Investigation Relief offered to the public as per pre-decided guidelines norms.

Scholarships in form of education fees and other help provided to deserving students.

Oxygen cylinders are stocked for emergency requirements of members.

Shree Sangh Sujata Navkar Lekhan Yojana is run for needy families by offering incentives for writing Navkar mantras in the books provided to them.

Students of Jainshala are awarded prizes and given a feast several times in a year.

Vocational Training fees are given to needy / deserving students as a fixed amount for Kayami Tithi for some of the earlier mentioned activities.
